My Favorite Things: A Treat from Dollar Tree! April Bath and Shower Vanilla Sugar Hand and Body Cream

Here's another installment in the 'My Favorite Things' Series:

Come on now, admit it - you've gone into Dollar Tree, looking to see what kinds of deals are available. It's OK. We all love a bargain.

I seriously love Dollar Tree. You can find all sorts of interesting stuff - craft suppliesall sorts of household items, holiday decorations food  and, at least here, in Chicago, you can get the Sunday newspaper on Saturday, complete with all the sales ads, only for $1.

They also carry plenty of beauty items, too. A hidden gem is the Vanilla Sugar Hand and Body Cream from the Dollar Tree brand, 'April Bath and Shower'.
Japanese Cherry Blossom, Apple Pomegranate and Vanilla Sugar. There's a coconut scented one, too.
I need to be clear, though. If you are looking for something to rival the Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Cream from Bath and Body Works - this isn't it. If you're looking for a great deal on a good, basic, hand and body cream, that happens to smell (somewhat) of vanilla - this is your stuff. I go through mass quantities of body cream in the winter months. My skin gets dry and cracked, especially because so many commercial hand washes have Triclosan added as an antibacterial agent. That will seriously dry out your hands.

This stuff is only $1, and it works well. It's surprisingly thick and rich. It lasts through a few handwashings. It smells nice, too. Heck - when you're done with the tube, you can peel off the labels, wash out the tube and refill it with whatever you'd like. The tube is worth the $1 by itself.

I would seriously recommend this to anyone - but please remember: this is $1 from Dollar Tree. It is unfair to compare it to the Warm Vanilla Sugar line from Bath and Body Works - but for $1? It's a great product!
